You would never believe this was Bea's first professional photoshoot. She was referred from a friend (I love referrals!) to build her portfolio and I was delighted to be part of it. The session was seamless and the results speak for themselves.
We started outdoors since the sun was going down and it wasn't raining. Living in the Pacific Northwest, it can rain, snow and be sunny all in one day so we had to take advantage of the dry weather, while we could. There was a nice vacant piece of land behind the studio with fall foliage, mixed with weeds but photographed well. A photographer can find beauty in almost everything!
Next, we went indoors to access the good ole heating system and studio options. The sun was going down and we used what was left of the natural light and bounce flash to capture the shots. Its amazing what you can do with so little. Some photographers are judged by how much equipment they use but its really how do you use the tools you have? And yes, I do have lighting equipment but it isn't needed at every shoot.
Back to the portraits, this was an example of a full session including: wardrobe changes, studio access, 1-1.5 hrs. with a 20-30 images (often more). This type caters to branding, beauty, maternity and others but isn't required. It was a pleasure to be included in the first session for this model in the making. Look for her and remember you saw her here first!!!
